If you are 17 charged with driving without a license on a gas powered scooter thats maximum speed is 45mph and you have failed to appear in court on two seperate occassions what could happen?
its regaurding my 17 year old friend and im concerned he'll receive more punishment then neccessary we live in BROWARD COUNTY FLORIDA

I want to purchase an electric scooter or moped (maybe gas), but I don't want to have to get an M2 license for California. Are there any options? Anyone have a suggestion for the best transportation 5 miles to work?
You may try to get your hands on a moped. Most people confuse scooters and mopeds. Scooters don't have paddles and, unless you're talking about a skateboard with a handle, you will need to get the M rating plus insurance to ride one. If on the other hand you want a moped, which is basically a bicycle with a motor, you MAY not need the licence. You can check the motorcycle handbook avaliable online at: www.dmv.ca.gov

Okay I have a Panterra Transport gas scooter thats about 4 years old (not highway legal it only goes 27mph, so I guess it’s considered a “recreational scooter”) that has lights, speedometer and an electric start with traditional pull start (like a chainsaw). Well for some reason, the electrical part doesn’t seem to work. Every time I put in a spark plug (where one is supposed to go) it pops. The motor still runs but I dont have lights or the easy electric start. I’ve lost the manual and obviously Panterra doesnt have a website for help. I can’t even find the one I have because it doesnt have a model number and it isn’t a “road legal” scooter that requires a license.

Is it something wrong with the wiring or is it the battery? Any advice will help.
It sounds like a wiring problem or a bad ignition/light switch if they run on the same one…I’d run it by some local mechanics, cycle shops or shops that do automotive electrical work and see if they can diagnose it.
it looks like a a scooter that little kids use but it is powered by gas.
