I am talking about something like a Go-Ped i live in a hilly area and would never ride it for more than 2-3 miles at a time
try this link.
good luck
I need a way to get to school without having to rely the bus. It takes about 2 hours to get home by bus and my parents hate driving me. I think spending 4 hours on transit is a waste of time. I’m looking for a scooter or moped to use. It’s cheap, no insurance, and less gas. Which one or what brand do you recommend?
If it takes you 2 hours to get home, then a moped is not the solution. Several mopeds go no more than 35mph. I would suggest a scooter at least 125cc. I would look at the brands known for quality and a good number of dealerships for maintenance and support: Honda, Yamaha, Vespa. Also, there are several Taiwanese brands that have been around for years in Taiwan: Kymco and SYM. (Kymco made scooter for Honda for awhile).
I wanted to get a gas scooter for my birthday and i was wondering if i could get in any trouble for riding one around my neiborhood. It says it goes 30-37 mph and it doesnt have any lights or anything. would appriciate to hear from anyone asap, thanks.

A motor, handlebars, and a floorboard for standing on when riding, and

the ability to be powered by
human propulsion. NOTE: A motorized scooter may be driven with any class driver license. A motorized scooter may not be used to take a Class M1 or M2 skills test.
The motorized scooter’s exhaust system must not be modified or altered.
Also, to ride on the road it must have headlight, trail light, brake light, horn, and turn signals.
I am going to buy a scooter/moped. I want one that is 50cc’s or less. In SC you don’t pay taxes on them under this size.
I know Honda, Yamaha and Vespa (Italian?) sell them. Can anyone recommend a good one. I went to a local that has a Chinese brand, but I don’t think I will be buying it.
First its Chinese, and Second it has a limited 6 month warranty. I know Honda beets that hands down. And labor is not included.
I thought about a motorcycle, but then you have the taxes and license and all that junk. Besides, I road an RD 350 for 5 years and owned a couple of others. I am in no hurry now. It’s just to get back and forth to work.
2 gallons of gas for a weeks travel is very appealing to me at the moment.
Any suggestions, warnings, recommendations on Brands and your experience is greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Frank Pytel
you already know, find a good local dealer, if thats honda, then get honda, yamaha the same. all the name brands will be a good choice, price and style is whats left (And service, so buy from local dealer)
Like a desperate Mom at xmas time, I purchased my son’s ONE wish, a gas powered scooter, from the internet. Needless to say, it lasted about 2 weeks before it needed replacement parts, and the company does not return calls or emails. I tried the manufacturer, but they have NO idea what I need, which I took straight from the parts list that came from the scooter! Needless to say i’m more than frustrated and have searched endlessly for these parts on line. The scooter is made in China and is a NS46 49cc Gas scooter. The parts required are:
2 Axes sockets (#39 & #50 on the parts list)
Adjusting Breech Block (#49 on the parts list)
Axle Tree (# 43 on the parts list)
Please, please if anbody can help me find these parts or substitutes for them i’d be forever grateful.
Thanks so much!
HI and thank you ..i’ve tried the website …and the part number search but still nothing…thanks so much for your time.
I am afraid to say it might be eaisier and cheaper to buy another of the same scooter than to get parts to repair a throw away scooter. Japanese and European brand names are that 50-100% more $’s because you are buying warranty, customer support, but above all a place to get the machine serviced, repaired and buy parts. and besides…. you meet the nicest people on a Honda.
