With gas prices going higher and higher, I am just wondering if there are more and more now there? Also, are gas prices going up just as much as in the states?
In BC there has been a small increase of motor scooters. The problem with motor scooters is passenger vehicle drivers here are not accustomed to motorbikes thus driving a motorbike here is dangerous.
As for gas prices. They are also going up in the US as well. Americans do pay less for gas as taxes in Canada are much higher. For example today I could buy gas across the border (10 minutes away) for 4.35 US per gallon. That is equivilant to about 1.16 per litre. Gas at our pumps are 1.42 per litre. That is 26 cents more per litre. If it wasn't for the lineup… i would do it all the time.

Yes. Also in Ontario, It's legal to drive an ebike or electric scooter on the road. With no license, no plates and no training! It costs about 10 cents to charge it and you get about 40 km's (30 + miles) out of it on one charge!
I've been seeing them more often on the streets. (Both electric and gas).

In America, people continue to feed the beast with their ridiculous SUVs because apparently it makes sense to by a car that gets 17 miles per gallon when only one person rides in it. I can ride a bike where I live, so I couldn't tell you what people are thinking. Though when I do drive I have a Civic, so I don't really worry too much about gas because I don't consume it at a rate that impoverishes me. They'll just keep the price gouging and my fellow countrymen will continue to do their patriotic duty of not demanding change and blindly submitting to the petroleum companies.

the yanks don't pay near so much tax as we do so they are closer to about $1/litre…. it's still up, but also still way cheaper than here.
regardless of which, if i want to drive a suv, i'll damn well drive the suv, if it offends you, then i hope i'm in my suv when your civic pulls out in front of me rather than on my bike, you'll be nothing more than a speed bump. my safety comes before yours when it's left up to me… also why i have loud pipes on my harleys. me before you will always matter more to me.
